Camera Plus on Apple Watch takes photo and video capturing onto the next level – Review

Every now and again an app comes along which just transforms a camera into something very dynamic and feature-rich, this one is called Camera Plus and is so new and hot on the market, it actually is compatible with the new Apple Watch.

It even has a synchronisation feature that means when you open the app on your iPad, iPod Touch or iPhone, it will automatically synch with an Apple watch device, if you have been lucky enough to get hold of one of these by now.

Although the app has many high-end features, most of the controls are executed by means of simple taps on your screen. You will be able to take photos and videos as normal but the app opens up an entire new experience in photo and video shoots.

One of its most redeeming features is something called AirSnap. This feature allows the user to pair two devices (must be iOS compatible) where one acts as a remote control device, and the other becomes the wireless camera. If you are thinking drones and aerial shots, then I know you are getting as excited about Camera Plus as we did.

A lot of care and attention has gone into taking sharper photos with a clearer image. There are many different focus modes on the Macro feature and there is also a feature which intelligently adjusts light and exposure on your camera.

The focus modes allow the user to bring into view objects or subjects which are way off in the distant – this is great for taking snaps of interstellar objects like stars and the moon, or rolling hills in the countryside.

Lumy is a perfect lighting solution which is built-in to this app. Lumy can provide an intelligent exposure slider that adjusts the lighting perfectly according to the environment you are in. Lumy makes sure you get perfect contrast, brightness and lighting in every photo or video you take.

You can also paint a story with your photos by choosing from a number of font styles and colours in which to glamourize the collection of holiday images, model shoots or just your latest collection of classic cars seen at a recent showground.

Personalization of your photos is also possible by using the Touch-ID feature: this is however an in-app purchase and helps you to keep your videos and images away from prying and unwanted eyes.
