There is a natural evolution or progression in the development of any type of app. The first manifestation of an app is usually the testing ground to see if the concept will fly as a product. Then apps using feedback and sales data begin to implement changes and growth within the app. Now, the apps which seem to dominate the app market generally fall into two categories. The first category are apps which are company specific, giving them a built in user base, and the second category are apps which offer the user necessary tools or information. Simply Declare Travel Apps are apps which fall into the second category, giving the world traveler a great set of tools. With the version 6.0 redesign to both the FREE and the PRO version, the Simply Declare Travel apps have had an extreme update to the visual and the working mechanism of the apps, making them clean and crisp.
Simply Declare FREE and PRO versions give the traveller a means of tracking what they buy when they are traveling abroad, and managing in real time currency rates their duty-free purchases for custom declaration purposes. There are huge differences between the free, as it’s limited to only 34 world currencies, and it’s not expandable with features. There are also a minimal amount of ads running through the app, but truthfully they aren’t too annoying. The PRO version has the ability to increase the currencies up to 165+ and has a currency converter, a handy notepad and when the item is added, the ability to add a personal note to the item(s) bought. The PRO version of Simply Declare also has in-app purchases, giving the user the ability for a history of trip, individual traveler lists and the safety of having cloud backup.
The previous versions of Simply Declare were really good, but the design was maybe a little more cluttered as the pages were mostly green and they were a little more cumbersome to enter items. The information they gave was still top-notched, but certainly not as highly stylized as they are now. Today the app is minimalistic, with so much more white, encompassing the new iOS 9 feel, giving them a smooth intuitive movement. The apps have also included a new user familiar settings page which the developer tells me will also allow for more features expansion. If you are traveling abroad, download the free version and see why this app is a great tool. Then download the paid version because it will be an app you won’t want to travel without. The Simply Declare family of apps have evolved into necessary travel tools for any nomad.
