Could it be true, well according to one analyst Verizon could have sold as many as 100,000 iPhone 4 in the first 17 hours. Susquehanna analyst Jeff Fidicaro also state that Verizon could possibly sell 2.9 million iPhones by March and 11.6 million handset by the end of 2011.
The analyst figures comes as Verizon Wireless president Dan Mead release a statement saying “In just our first two hours, we had already sold more phones than any first day launch in our history”. This lead to a temporary stoppage on pre-sales. Sales won’t start back until February 10 at 7 am, at Verizon’s 2,000 stores, Best Buy, some Wal-Mart and Apple stores.
