LostWinds2: Winter of The Melodias – Review

This is the second part of the award-winning and enchanting Lost Winds adventure with game play that allows you to switch the seasons. There are impressive new environments to explore and great characters that come complete with charm and alacrity. You get incredible new wind powers at your fingertips and together with the stunning visuals, expect an absorbing storyline.

Every feature on LostWinds 2: Winter of the Melodias builds on and improves upon the success of the first game, leaving you to enjoy an experience that should not be missed on your iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch.

You can switch the seasons back and forth between winter and summer at will. There are new and awesome powers to be tapped when using Enril the Wind Spirit; many characters from the first series reappear here too, all of whom are there to protect and guide the young boy, Toku.  Your task is to save the world of Mistralis, an enchanting realm that is being threatened by the evil Balasar who has summoned a poisonous and nasty adversary along with a big gang of minion thugs to hamper your efforts to save Mistralis. You will need to be careful however, as Balasar’s adversary has many powers and will be a challenge to say the least.

LostWinds2: Winter of the Melodias will pit you and your efforts to save Toku’s mother, Magdi, who has been kidnapped by the evil Balasar. The game becomes a race against time to save Magdi, as you will have the elements to adjust to and take into account. LostWinds2: Winter of the Melodias will allow you to harness the raw beauty of nature where you can change summer into winter or vice-versa, thanks to the magical powers of Sonte the Spirit of the Seasons.

Change frozen ponds and rivers into a summer meadow of warmth and sunshine so that Toku can dive and swim under the waters in order to unlock some of the secrets needed to help thwart Balasar, you can also formulate snowballs from the air or play around with moisture and get the clouds to create a bit of rain.

Some of the expansive new regions of Mistralis provide for a spectacular arena for Toku to jump and dive around in. LostWinds2: Winter of the Melodias has been optimised for the iPhone 5 and it’s free to download from iTunes.
