Kids Planet Discovery

Kids are interested in everything, hence the reason they ask so many questions. Sometimes you just cannot answer some of the questions put to you as a parent and you wish there is an app that can teach the little ones about animals, music, geography, cultures and nature. Well look no further than Kids Planet Discovery – games and videos to travel and learn about the world’s geography, nature and cultures. Apart from probably having the longest title we have seen so far in the App Store this app is pack with a large number of general information that will keep the kids busy for hours.

Kids Planet Discovery contains nine apps all rolled into one. With videos, music, a dress up game and much more your child will get a unique way of learning. The vibrant graphics will keep them grasp and wanting more. The huge catalogue of games and videos will have them entertained for hours. Kids Planet Discovery is geared towards kids over the age of 4 and at the same time great for the whole family.

I’m quite amazed the amount of content that is stacked into the app. With the initial launch you will be asked to choose the language you wish to use in the app. You will then be presented with the main screen that has all the topics that you can choose from. Kids Planet Discovery has many cute characters to help the child along the way. I have to say the app is best viewed from an iPad, the larger screen makes everything so much easier to see and do.

Kids Planet Discovery is a free download but it contains in-app purchases. You do get to try out some of the topics from the main screen. For instance the dress up topic cost $0.99 but you can trial that for free, you can also try the cultures videos, animals, discover Africa, continents and world videos category then you will need to pay for them. To get the whole content of the app will set you back $4.99. Which I personally think is a small price to pay for the amount of content available.

The only thing I found with Kids Planet Discovery is that the developers decide to sell the app in the games category on the App Store, with the amount of information in the app that will teach kids different things we think that it would be a great fit in the Education category instead. That doesn’t stop us from giving Kids Planet Discovery 4 stars. It would have received 5 stars but the free trials aren’t enough and we think they should be extended. That aside Kids Planet Discovery is a brilliant, fun, educational app and you cannot go wrong.
