CleverBug is an app developer that has made the perfect birthday greeting card that you can use straight from your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch. It uses the power of Facebook and your friend list to create an entire store of cards for each and every one of your friends. You can complete each card by inserting their photo and then send your birthday greeting card anywhere in the world. Your first card is sent free of charge. It takes around a week for the cards to arrive by mail, often much less.

So, how does this all work? Birthday Cards by CleverBug works by you downloading the free app first of all and then link up to your Facebook account. Select the ones on your friend list who you would like to send a real card to you (rather than just a “happy birthday” post on their wall) and you will be taken to a greeting card store where you will devise that person’s birthday card.

You will be given hundreds of different designs to choose from and you don’t have to use the Facebook image of that person if you don’t want to. You can use any photo from your library or even upload a new one. Next up, you will be asked to write a greeting, or you can use the standard greeting Clever Bug will have devised for you.

Then your card is printed within hours of ordering at any one of a number of worldwide based printing offices and then posted on its way. All cards are printed on high quality gloss cardboard and sent by mail in an attractive envelope. On the date of your friend’s birthday you will also be able to post an electronic version of the card you sent on your friend’s wall on Facebook.

There is even a sneak peek version where you can post a copy of the birthday card that you can share with all your Facebook friends, but not the actual recipient, who will only see it on his or her birthday.

All cards on Birthday Cards are personalized in advance although you do have the option to chop and change them around if you so wish. There are a number of special cards for those reaching the age of 21, 30, 40 and 50 too. Birthday Cards is a simple little app that makes sending a birthday card as easy as logging into Facebook.
