Slap it Up Platinum App, Simple and Fun - Review

So I downloaded Slap it Up Platinum and launch the app. I literally had to jump back in my seat because I was hit with this launch music that was quite loud because the volume on my iPhone was at maximum. One thing for sure is the app got my attention and I wanted know more. What is Slap it Up about, well after a registering through the app. It basically allows user to create hand gestures (slap it ups) and share them with friends via email, social media or even SMS.

Think emoticons but with hands. Slap it Up Platinum is a really cool app, an innovative way of perhaps thanking your friend for a favour he/she has done. You can create your own “Slap it Up” within seconds from the videos provided or you can go through the network and see all the “Slap it Up” available. You will be able to share these or add them to your favorites. There is also a challenge section that allows users to watch slap sequence and follow it correctly. You will be timed so you will need to be quick if you want to unlock trophies and beat the high score. The current high score for a 2 slap sequence sits at 2.80 Secs, I have tried and the best I could do is 6.15 Secs. I like that it’s challenging so I will be trying to beat that high score.

The developer does add a note that “when downloading the app and launching for the first time, it is highly recommended that the user be connected to a Wi-Fi network as standard cellular network access may not be sufficient for initial SLAP CARDS download.” Once the download of the cards are complete you can go ahead and have fun. The app settings section includes the option of turning off the slap it up theme song while previewing slaps from the network. However there isn’t an option to turn it off on launch, your device mute switch will have to do that. There is also a sound when you tap on an icon within the app, it would be nice to have the option to turn that off as well, but it’s not an issue at all.
