A great learning tool is Emotion, Feelings and Colours which is an app that provides educational games for children in pre-school and kindergarten classes. In this app you will discover great arts and social development games for kids. It’s a top educational app to get children ready for the classroom. The characters Poko, Bibi and Minus learn about all the emotions by watching a series of short animated storylines. They use primary colours in painting to explore different emotions and your kids can join in along the educational fun by playing a series of different games with the trio.
There are a number of small pictograms that emulate the different emotions that are expressed here and your child can select and mix colours for Poko’s drawings. Emotions, Feelings and Colours enjoys over one million downloads and the app has won a number of design awards and accolades, including the Best In Family Products, Mum’s Choice Awards 2010 and Brain Toy Award – Academics’ Choice Awards 2012.
It has received several testimonials from Mums and Dads, who claim their children have used it as a great jump start to learning a child’s overall kindness and ability to colour their world beautifully. Others have said how many children have problems identifying their own true feelings, and struggle to explain them to others. The app has shown to be a fun way to practice identifying these emotions and understanding which emotions they are feeling. The ability of children becoming able to express their true feelings and understand why they are manifesting as such is drawn out by the app’s colour topics and games.
EFC is actually free to try out if you don’t want to pay the full version at first. This allows you and your child to get a feel for the app and its many features. There are self-adjusting levels of difficulty and a unique progress checker for the parents to monitor. EFC also has a neat little feature which helps you see detailed success stats for your child that can be compared with children of the same age.
It is a recommended learning path for your child and has been designed by educational experts and child development teachers. The app has 18 medals and fun rewards which will help children to learn and give them the motivation they need. Some of the subjects covered in the game are science, math, language and literature.
The graphics are great and the fact that kids will learn from the app is another bonus. And did I mention it’s a free download.
