How to downgrade iOS 7 to iOS 6

I’m registered has an Apple developer and I made the huge step to trial iOS 7 beta today. My initial thoughts about the huge overall of Apple’s iDevice software was, what the hell. But, It’s been a good few hours now since I updated and the new look has grown on me. Some of the features are really cool and I even wondered what took Apple so long to implement them but that’s Apple for you. The legal and right way to install iOS 7 is being a registered iOS developer, but if you’re a huge Apple fan, chances are you have already found some way to get the iOS 7 beta on your iPhone or iPod Touch. Having a beta software comes with bugs and issues, so if you want to downgrade to iOS 6 then follow the instructions below.

Step 1: Download the latest iOS 6 version for your iPhone here, save this somewhere on your computer you will be able to find it easily (we recommend to the desktop).

Step 2: Connect your iOS device running iOS 7 beta to your computer.

Step 3: Launch iTunes, select your device, and hold ALT/option and click (shift+click in Windows) on the Restore button.

Step 4: Select the firmware you downloaded in step 1.

Step 5: Your device will now restore back to iOS6 successfully.

The whole process takes about 8 to 12 minutes.
