Word challenges will come and go but here you have one that is a little different from the others. Wordfeud Competitor is fun, it’s different and the focus is NOT on the one who is the brainy individual who can form the word, but it is the person who does not form the word.
The game will sit well with anyone who wants to have fun or feels the desire to compete with a friend or family member over who has the best vocabulary. In fact, just playing this game regularly will actually improve your vocabulary and you’ll notice yourself getting smarter.
But it’s not just friends and family who you can compete against; why not take on anyone from the world of the internet, anywhere from around the world? Once you are ready to take on the challenge of beating others from around the globe you will see your rankings start to rise up through the online leader board. The game will award the first character and the clock starts ticking down from 30 seconds.
The game is pretty straightforward and easy to play: one player will begin by selecting the first character of a word. Then the next player will select their chosen character, it continues on and on like this until one of the players decides he or she can actually form a word. It is imperative that you stick to real words and not something simply made up (think Scrabble here).
You cannot write a character that is not included in a word. You will get three attempts, and if you have still not managed to form a word, you lose. Let’s say the first player selects the character “A” and the next player will select “P”, so you must be careful not to select the letter “E” because it will give player two the opportunity to choose the word “Ape”. Therefore the best bet would be for player one to select another “P” and hope the example would then form to the word “Appeal”.
Remember you will only be given the 30 second time limit to think of a character – failure to do so results in you losing the game. So the general idea is to be able to think fast and on your feet. Your mental skills within the language and vocabulary of words will improve as the weeks go on.
