PickaPik – the new app for helping you to select which photo you should select for posting on social media or for your model portfolio. The dilemma is clear: you have taken four images of yourself in the mirror and cannot decide which one is the best; you might want to use one to post up on Facebook, Twitter or Pinterest as a profile image but you just cannot decide which one is best.
The longer you stare at the images you have taken, the more indecisive you become. Solution is PickaPik. That’s short for Pick a Picture. The friends and family you choose can vote on the selection of images you have whittled down to the last four.
If you want, you could post just the one picture. The voting audience – which can be friends and family or a selection of random strangers if you want – will vote a “yes” or a “no” which will determine whether or not they like the image or not. If you release say two pictures, the voting audience (you have selected) can vote “yes” to one of the images and “no” to the other. You could send all four images (up to four) and the voting panel will be able to vote for the favourite one.
There are special filters to add to the images. This helps you decide which filters look best for your image. As this is a social networking app, you can tag other Pickapik users, tag the current location of where you took your image and even invite friends that have not followed you to vote on your images.
Don’t forget, the wider the community or audience invited to vote, the more honest opinion you will get back on the images you submit. If you are not one of those people who likes to share their personal images to the world and his wife, then select to remain private so that just the selected members of your close-knit circle can vote.
PickaPik can also work with multiple accounts. This means you could have a personal account and maybe one for work. Interior designers and decorators seeking opinions on colour coordination could really do well using PickaPik, as could sports teams seeking an opinion of next season’s kit – which one would they prefer? Put it to the test and them PickaPik.
