Every small business needs some kind of tool to produce invoices. Without bills, estimates and invoices, it cannot function or send out financial demands to clients they have performed work for and now want some reward for. Billdu helps any small business right through from building your own personalized template that will show your logo, name and own design on invoices – right through to the charts and essential data tools that show where the profit is and how many unpaid invoices are outstanding.
We road tested Billdu right from the get go and discovered much of the app was easy, simple and clever to use. Uploading a template logo is easy enough and choosing a colour background was as simple as a web-building for dummies course.
We even chose our own font style (although the vast choices you’d normally get from a word office document are not present here). The invoice is clear and informative. It even claims to have a “pleasant” look to it. We wouldn’t go as far to affirm that, and neither would any bill receiver but we sort of see what they mean.
It’s not just bills Billdu produces and sends out but estimates and quotes too. The same rules apply here with the template structure being down to you and your small business to approve, amend and change to your own style.
But what we really liked about it was the multiple user feature. Many users can access the invoice app and several companies can be accounted during its operation. It can connect to several separate devices: try and shift the entire workings of this app to your iPad and work on-the-go or even migrate to your iPhone so you can keep abreast of the company’s bills over the weekend.
There are simple and easy-to-read charts to see how the company cash flow is performing. Any unpaid or overdue invoice and bills are clearly flagged so you can address these as a priority. Whether you are printing out an invoice or sending one on through an email or via some other platform, it all seems to be so easy and performed will just the one click.
The app even throws in additional features like business card creation, barcode scanner management and a way to import clients’ names and addresses from one platform to this one. Billdu is an all-round, dynamic tool for business.
