Photolink is a brand new app that’s just landed on the App Store. It’s a really smart way to keep track of all of your favourite information with just a couple of taps.
Using the simple app you can build your own widgets, and customize them, letting you keep on top of everything you need to know direct from your notifications drawer. But there’s much more to it than that.
You can also connect the widget to websites, essentially creating bookmarks to the pages you visit the most. These will work even when you don’t have an internet connection, thanks to a clever caching system.
Then you can set the webpages to auto-update your widget. So if you’re keeping track of stocks and shares, the widget will change depending on any new information that’s come from the website.
You can basically build your own newsfeed, adding your favourite sites to the widget so you can ensure you always know what’s going on in the world.
If that’s not enough, the app lets you add images to your widgets directly from your photo gallery. The applications here are pretty impressive. Need to make sure you’ve got notes to hand? Just use Photolink to stick them on your phone and you’re good to go.
There’s iCloud sync too, and resizing your photos so they fit comfortably on the widget is a piece of cake as well.
Photolink is a versatile, easy-to-use app that’s perfect for putting a personal stamp on your iPhone. And best of all, it’s not going to cost you anything to pick it up.
The app is available right now from the App Store, and there’s a free version that’s supported by adverts. IAPs will let you unlock even more features, getting rid of the ads and allowing you to add multiple widgets rather than just one.
You can download Photolink on iOS now.
