Honor 9X and 9X Pro with their huge displays and pop-up cameras are now available for public. Both devices are coming to China, the Honor 9X for $200 and 9x Pro for $320. So, both devices are essentially affordable for most smartphone users. However, keep in mind that these prices are lower, compared to the rest of the world. Other than huge displays and selfie cameras, the device has bezel-less design. Thanks to the pop-up mechanism for the 16Mp selfie camera, both Honor devices are offering 92 percent body to screen ratio. Inside, there will be the Huawei Kirin 810 SoC, as well as options for 4GB, 6GB or 8GB of RAM. Internal storage options also vary, at 64GB, 128GB and 256GB, depending on the variants and prices. On the back, the 9X has dual-camera arrangement, 48Mp and 2Mp. For the 9X Pro, it has 48Mp, 8Mp and 2Mp cameras. They come with a spacious 6.6-inch 1080p display, 4000mAh battery and rear fingerprint sensor. The 8GB RAM variant is only available for Honor 9X Pro.
The Kirin 810 octa-core chipset uses 7nm manufacturing technology and Huawei first used it for the Nova 5. However, thanks to the extra liquid cooling, the Honor 9X Pro should run cooler than Nova 5. It is a big jump in terms of overall performance, compared to the previous generation, Kirin 710, which is said to be comparable with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730. The liquid cooling feature of the Honor 9X Pro isn’t active water cooling, but a system based on vapour chamber technology. There is support for microSD card and GPU Turbo 3.0. The USB-C port supports charging at 5V and 2A, which is comparable with the Quick Charge 1.0 standard. Another thing worth mentioning is that both models will have glass back finish with X-shaped gradient design. There are three color options for Honor 9X, which are red, blue and black, while the Honor 9X Pro will be available in purple and black.
