The Samsung Galaxy A71 is a new upper mid-range model and it’s just behind the Galaxy S10 Lite and Galaxy Note 10 Lite in terms of capability and pricing. For the features and performance it is offering, the Galaxy A17 is quite competitive at around $550. On the front, you can get a huge 6.7-inch display with minimal bezels. With its Infinity-O design, there’s a punch hole at the top of the display for the front-facing camera. With the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC under the hood, the Samsung Galaxy A71 offers plenty of power. The 6GB of RAM is capable delivering good multitasking performance. These allow the Android 10 OS to feel fluid and fast. With 128GB of internal storage, you have more than enough space to play around. Users can insert up to 512GB of microSD card into the appropriate slot.
The 6.7-inch Super AMOLED Plus display offers a colorful and bright punch. The Full HD+ (2400 x 1080) resolution ensures excellent level of resolution. It should be comfortable to watch 1080p movies on Netflix. There’s an in-display fingerprint scanner as well and face recognition feature for secure biometric authorizations. Another significant feature is the 32Mp camera on the front, which offers decent quality for social media purposes. Round the back, there are four cameras. The primary sensor is a 64Mp camera with f/1.8 aperture. The 12Mp ultra-wide camera provides 123 degree coverage. The 5Mp depth and 5Mp macro cameras are useful background blur effects and close-up shots. With 4,500mAh battery, the Galaxy A71 ensures longer operational time. As comparison, the Galaxy Note 10 Plus has 4,300mAh battery and 4,100mAh battery for Galaxy S10 Plus. It means, the Galaxy A71 should be usable for nearly two days with casual usages, such as sending instant messages, web browsing, watching YouTube and playing some occasional light games. With its big display, good cameras, decent internal hardware and large capacity battery, it appears that the Samsung Galaxy A71 has a good chance in the market. With an attractive price point, it should be a winning formula.
