More than 10 years ago, Roccat was among the first gaming peripheral companies that featured LED RGBs to their products. The Roccat Kone AIMO Remastered gaming mouse is one of their newer releases with its ergonomic, lightweight and premium design. The RGB lighting is the biggest selling point of Kone AIMO, with two RGB stripes on its body and a lit wheel. The term AIMO itself refers to the intelligent RGB system that works based on how you use the mouse. Rapid mouse movements may indicate intense gaming actions and the lighting will be adjusted to improve the experience. The Kone AIMO mouse is controlled by the Swarm software and using it is a breeze. The software allows you to adjust just about everything, including sensor sensitivity, button assignments, and lift-off distance. Users can switch between different five profile presets. Overall, it’s a comprehensive package that you won’t be disappointed with.
At its current price point, the Kone AIMO gaming mouse is taking on the likes of Logitech and Razer, so any slight mishap would hurt sales. Even so, Roccat confidently introduced this mouse to the market and it’s a good decision. The first time you use this mouse, it conveys solid ergonomics and a sense of firmness. The PixArt 3361 is one of the best optical sensors in the market. Also called the Owl-Eye, this sensor is based on the very successful PixArt 3360 sensor with 1:1 capability. With its ridiculously high maximum DPI of 12,000, gamers can get excellent precision when using large monitors with high resolution enabled. This means Kone AIMO should cater to even the most demanding gaming requirements. Inside, there are a small 32-bit ARM Cortex processor and 512kb memory for rapid executions and macro storage.
When using Kone AIMO gaming mouse, you may consider other peripherals in the line-up, especially the Horde AIMO keyboard and Khan AIMO headset. They also have the same intelligent RGB system. Even if you deactivate the AIMO system, the static illumination still draws attention. The AIMO system uses an analogous or complementary color profile that creates a stunning visual. The whole AIMO lineup from Roccat should be ideal for any vanity build. The sheer size of the mouse is perfect for people with larger hands, but it’s still comfortable for people who have smaller hands. At the moment, the Kone AIMO gaming mouse is available only for right-handers.
This gaming mouse comes with eight buttons. As anyone would certainly expert, there are the usual left, middle and right primary buttons. But you also get three thumb buttons and one of them is the Easy-Shift switch. The other two are quick DPI switches. With the Easy-Shift switch, you can have dual-functionality for the mouse with every switch and clock. With integrated macro capacity on the fly, the overall versatility of the Kone AIMO gaming mouse is simply impressive.
Depending on the seller, the Kone AIMO gaming mouse is currently available for around £69.99, which is a pretty good deal considering its ergonomics, intelligent RGB system, and highly customizable buttons. After using the mouse for a little while, you will quickly realize that it’s more than worthy of the affordable price tag.
