The PS4 was launched in 2013 and that came with a DualShock 4 wireless controller which got a lot of positive feedback from gamers and developers for being the best controller to be release.
Sony have now redesign the controller for PS5 and the pictures you see on this article is it. The PlayStation 5 DualSense wireless controller is a bit bulky, like an Xbox controller and boast of having a 3D AudioTech which is set to deliver a “new feeling of immersion to players. Sony have stated that the final design have already been shipped to developers. This is for testing and making sure they can implement features into their games.
On first look you can see that Sony have optioned for a 2 tone colour. The share button also appears to be missing but this is not so. Sony have gone for a “Create” button which will offer more features. The DualSense also have a built in microphone which allows players to chat without a headset. But still have the choice of using a headset.
The whole aim with the PlayStation 5 controller is to immerse the player more into their game by bringing audio and variety of powerful sensations.
“DualSense marks a radical departure from our previous controller offerings and captures just how strongly we feel about making a generational leap with PS5. The new controller, along with the many innovative features in PS5, will be transformative for games – continuing our mission at PlayStation to push the boundaries of play, now and in the future. To the PlayStation community, I truly want to thank you for sharing this exciting journey with us as we head toward PS5’s launch in Holiday 2020. We look forward to sharing more information about PS5, including the console design, in the coming months.”– Jim Ryan, President & CEO, Sony Interactive Entertainment
