Motorola Will Soon Release One Fusion and One Fusion+

Motorola will release its next mid-range smartphone model. The company is known for some of the most competitive models in the United States with respectable list of features and reasonable price points. It appears that there will be a few more in the pipeline. Evan Blass the long-time leaker in the mobile industry revealed that there will be a couple more Motorola One-series models. They would be called the Motorola One Fusion and One Fusion+. Motorola usually tried to choose cool-sounding monikers for its smartphones in the past, like One Hyper, Action, Zoom and Macro. The Motorola One Hyper is equipped with Hyper Charging feature, which is Motorola’s fast charging technology. 91mobiles claimed that they have gathered hardware specifications of the One Fusion+ from exclusive inside information. However, it’s a bit unfortunate that the hardware specs are a bit underwhelming.

If the rumor proves accurate, the Motorola One Fusion+ will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 675, similar to the one used by the Motorola One Zoom and Motorola One Hyper. It’s a direct improvement over the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 used by the Motorola G Power and G Stylus. However, the Snapdragon 675 is slower than the 5G-capable Snapdragon 765G for the upcoming LG Velvet and Nokia 8.3. It’s also slower than the Snapdragon 710 for the reborn Motorola Razr. It means that the One Fusion+ will deliver decent performance, although slower than some existing mid-range models in the market. Other hardware details are 4GB RAM/64GB of storage or 6GB RAM/128GB of storage, 12Mp rear-facing camera and dual SIM support. There will be no support for NFC connectivity. It is suggested that the phone will be launched in the United States and India.

The original Motorola One was a budget model, released in October 2018 and in some parts of Asia, it was called the Motorola P30 Play. The Motorola One Power was the first iteration of the family with larger battery capacity.  The third model in the series was the Motorola One Vision, released in May with 48MP primary rear-facing camera, bigger display and support for up to 1TB of expandable storage. The Motorola One Action, introduced in August 2019, came with an array of three cameras designed to record landscape videos, although the phone is held in portrait orientation. It came with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

The Motorola One Zoom is the fifth model announced in September 2019 with quad-camera arrangement, including 48MP primary camera and telephoto lens. At 400 Euros, it’s the most pricey One model so far. The Motorola One Macro is designed for budget users who love to take close-up photos and it features a dedicated macro camera. The Macro is currently available for 130 Euros. The Motorola One Hyper is the latest official model of the series and introduced on December, 2019. It has pop-up camera for selfie, 64Mp camera on the back, 45W fast charging and Android 10 operating system. Sold for 360 Euros, the phone is another mid-range model and the second most expensive.
