The gaming streaming service is on the rise and the biggest e-commerce platform, Amazon, is seeking to take a part in this industry. After Nvidia GeForce Now, Google Stadia and Microsoft xCloud, we are getting the Amazon Luna as an alternative. The Luna also allows mobile users to play demanding triple-A games on the smartphones and tablets. Amazon has shown us how to access its gaming streaming service from Android smartphones. Users only need to open the Chrome web browser on their Android smartphone and open the landing page of Amazon Luna. They can install a special web app and sign in to the service. This should give us another way to play resource-intensive PC games on supported Android smartphone models.
Users can get the special Amazon’s Luna controller, which can support Android devices. Alternatively, Amazon Luna also supports Xbox One and PS4 gamepads. At the moment, Amazon Luna is available for devices form Google, Samsung and OnePlus. To be precise, supported Google Pixel models are 4XL, 4a, 4a 5G and 5. For Samsung Galaxy smartphones, supported models are Note 10, Note 10+, S10, S10+, Note 20, S20 5G, S20+ 5G and S20 Ultra 5G. For OnePlus devices, these include 7, 7 Pro, 7 Pro 5G, 7T, 7T Pro, 7T Pro 5G, Nord, 8 and 8 Pro. At the moment, Amazon Luna is available only for users in the United States and just like competing platforms, it is likely that Amazon will expand the service to other countries as well.

These supported devices are flagship and mid-range models. However, it is possible that Amazon Luna will be playable on budget devices as well, just like the Stadia and GeForce Now. Game streaming service is always an interesting alternative for mobile users, because they can play multiple console- and PC-grade games on their devices. It is possible to play with the onscreen control, but the recommendation is to use game controller or gamepad. It is quite easy to start using Amazon Luna on Android devices, which should increase the customer base. Other than on Android smartphones, Amazon Luna is also available on Fire TV, Windows PC, Mac, iPad and iPhone. It is not known whether Amazon will release a dedicated smartphone app for the Luna, because the only way right now is to install the web app on Chrome. Here are steps you should do:
On your Android smartphone, open the Chrome web browser and open amazon.com/luna
When prompted, you need to add Luna to the mobile device
From the app launcher screen of the phone, tap on the Luna web app
If you already have an Amazon account, you can type in the username and password.
After logged in, you can start subscribing to the Luna service. At the moment, this service is still in early access mode, so you need to request an invite. If you get an invite from Amazon Luna Plus, it will be $6 per month. An invite from Ubisoft Plus channel is more expensive at $15 per month.
